Co-Founder of NixCovid, Kathryn Bonesteel shares her perspective after finding out she was nominated for the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Awards.
"I found out I was nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 for Health Care from my hospital bed a few weeks ago.
When my friend took these headshots for my submission, I was very ill. Ended up going back to the hospital the next day.
I’m sharing this because I truly believe struggle breeds perseverance.
This pandemic has impacted every one of our businesses, our friends and our family but we are recovering.
We will all come out of 2020 stronger, wiser, and more empathetic for others with better solutions for the future.
If I never had my health problems, we probably wouldn’t have started NixCovid. We wouldn’t have been able to help the people we have.
I wouldn’t have met so many of you (virtually). I doubt I would’ve ever been considered for such a life-changing honor.
There is always light in our struggles, if we let ourselves see it and make it our focus.
Back home, feeling much better and back to working full capacity. Thank you for all the well wishes! Keep on trucking on, we’re almost there."
